A "walk-away knockout" is one of the most crowd-pleasing sights in MMA, a moment when a fighter knows he's landed a strike so perfectly on their opponent they know there's no need to follow up with additional strikes.
This weekend we saw a prime example, as "The Super Samoan" Mark Hunt produced a stunning left hook to flatten seven-foot-tall Dutchman Stefan "The Skyscraper" Struve at UFC on Fuel TV 8 in Saitama, Japan.
Hunt, a former K-1 kickboxing Grand Prix champion, is one of the shortest heavyweights in the UFC, standing just five feet 10 inches tall, but the Kiwi made light of the height difference as he exploded a series of powerful strikes on Struve, knocking him out midway through the third round of their co-main event bout.

It left the Japanese crowd, who adored Hunt during his time fighting in Japan for the now-defunct PRIDE organisation, on their feet and left Struve with a broken jaw (see the tweet below).
It also guaranteed Hunt a share of the Knockout of the Night bonus, along with the winner of the night's main event, Wanderlei Silva.
